Industrial profiled metal roofing and cladding

This North East industrial roofing and cladding project uses a traditional built-up system comprising internal liner panels, spacer bars, insulation and an external profiled metal sheet. Components for the cladding system were manufactured through our Newcastle upon Tyne operation, helping us coordinate fabrication, delivery and installation around the project programme.
Cold-rolled steel purlins
Cold-rolled steel purlins provide the secondary support for roof and wall cladding systems. Their strength-to-weight ratio makes them practical to handle and install while providing a consistent fixing line for the specified roofing or cladding build-up.
Where required, purlins can be supplied pre-cut and pre-punched to suit the project layout, reducing unnecessary site work and helping the installation progress efficiently.
Internal liner system
The internal liner panels are fixed to the supporting steelwork to form the internal face of the built-up roof or wall system. On this project, white-faced liners create a clean internal finish while the spacer system forms the cavity required for insulation and the external cladding layer.
Joint treatment, spacer depth, insulation and external sheet specification are selected to suit the project requirements and the overall roof or wall build-up.
Profiled metal cladding
The external profiled metal sheet forms the weathering layer of the built-up system. Insulation is installed within the cavity created by the spacer system, with the final build-up selected to suit the building, required thermal performance and project specification.
Profiled metal roofing and wall cladding can be used for new-build industrial premises as well as refurbishment projects where a durable, practical external finish is required.
Finished Roofing & Cladding Project
Durable Goosewing Grey roof sheets with integrated roof lights & solar panels, form part of the building’s roof covering, with rooflights and solar panels incorporated into the overall project design. Merlin Grey side and gable walls, paired with contrasting brick piers, add architectural interest and strength. Bold Aztec Yellow vehicle doors create a striking, modern focal point.
This system uses high-quality materials with thermal insulation to maintain stable temperatures and reduce energy use. Solar panels generate renewable energy on-site, supporting sustainability. Low maintenance and corrosion-resistant coatings ensure long-lasting performance, making it ideal for commercial and industrial buildings across the North East.
